Grey Trees

A cool draft stirs,

As the wind picks up.

Standing all alone in the dark.

As trees begin to fade to grey

Nothing exists, but a silent park.

A bright moon giving the only light

Creating deadly shadows,

That only help conceal a forbidden night.

Hidden away, just beyond the trees

The innocent girl failed the signs

With no one to hear her pleas,

The darkness engulfed her.

For just one last moment,

One last glimpse at his face

Before another life is lost

Only an empty bench is left as her last place.
