Anxiety attack

Beg the tears to stop as more drip down,
Try crying out loud but instead choke on air,
Breath fast, struggling to get anything in lungs
Chest tightens, while small gasps little gulps of air
Lower lip becomes numb in your desperation
Tremors flood the body, shoulders to fingers, legs too feet
Jaw clenches tight as you beg yourself to calm down,
Head pounds at the pressure, but silent words don’t help
Hearing the others in the house, unaware of the struggle
Finally, shaking subsides, leaving hot cheeks, pounding head and stiff neck
