Never Existed

Delicate fingers glide across torn skin,

Smudging the red between fingers

Painting dead hearts tainted in sin

How long had she be laying there

Watching the sun slowly rise

Soon there won’t be anymore pain to share

And she can just let go-

Closing her eyes to shed a tear

A single stream for a single drop

A few more hours and they’ll all awake

Find her in a pool of her own blood

Just to bury her and forget what she was

And move on as though she never existed
